Experience Overview
This journey combines deep cultural immersion at Lake Eyasi with the iconic wildlife experience of Ngorongoro Crater.
Guests spend three days with the Hadzabe and Datoga, followed by a full-day safari in one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations.
Depart Arusha in the morning and drive to Lake Eyasi.
Upon arrival, meet the Hadzabe and begin an introduction to their hunter-gatherer lifestyle, including fire-making, tool use, and daily camp activities.
Spend the afternoon interacting with the community before returning to a simple bush camp in the area for overnight.
Early morning join the Hadzabe for a traditional bush experience, including tracking, hunting with bows, and, when available, honey collection. Later, participate in gathering activities such as digging tubers and collecting wild fruits.
The day continues with cultural interaction and learning about their survival lifestyle.

Spend a final morning with the Hadzabe, focusing on deeper cultural exchange and traditional skills.
Later, visit the Datoga community in Gidangodiga village, known for their pastoral lifestyle and skilled blacksmithing, where scrap metal is transformed into tools, knives, and arrowheads used in daily life. In the afternoon, drive to Karatu for overnight.

Descend into the crater for a full game drive, exploring one of the richest wildlife areas in Africa, home to lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, and the rare black rhino.
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater surrounded by wildlife.
In the late afternoon, ascend and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening
